SUMMARY:Developing an Intervention Pathway for Children and Adolescents with Autism
DESCRIPTION:The Manchester Autism Board would like to invite parents and carers to join a small group that would co-produce an intervention pathway for children & young people with autism and their families. \nThe first meeting will take a look at interventions provided by Health professionals and will be held at Grange School on 21 November\, 9:30am – 12:30pm. Transport costs will be reimbursed and refreshments will be provided. \nPlease let us know as soon as possible if you would like to get involved. \nSee the message below from Dr. Jo Bromley\, Service Lead and Consultant Clinical Psychologist of the South Manchester CAMHS\, for details. \nTwo years ago we co-produced an assessment pathway for children with autism. \nThis pathway has been piloted in South Manchester and we are hoping to gain funding for a rollout across the city. \nWe would now like to form a small working group to try and co-produce an intervention pathway for children and young people with Autism and their families. We are going to start by thinking about interventions provided by health. \nThe first meeting will be at Grange School on 21st November from 9.30-12.30. \nThe pathway we design will inform the Manchester Autism Strategy and is an opportunity for us to think about what we have\, what we value and what we want \nWe have places for 12 parent/carers and 12 professionals. There will be some presentations about NICE guidance and what evidence there is for certain interventions and there will be some feedback about a questionnaire parents and carers have filled in around interventions they have used and found helpful. \nIf you would be interested in attending on 21st November please let me know. We will be able to reimburse transport costs and there will at least be some tea! \nMany thanks \nDr Jo Bromley\nService Lead\, Consultant Clinical Psychologist\nClinical Service for Children with Disabilities\nCAMHS\nCarol Kendrick Centre \n
