We, together with Rodney House Outreach Service for the Early Years (RHOSEY), are currently developing an in-person parent/carer training programme to supplement the Dingley’s Promise Early Years Inclusion project that offers online training for Manchester’s Early Years practitioners, settings and parents/carers.

By joining this pilot session, you will help us improve the structure of the training before we roll it out to our wider membership, while also benefiting from the knowledge yourself.

Trainees will receive a certificate upon completion* of the training courses.

* You will receive certificate upon completion of a training module within the Dingley’s Promise training portal.

Agenda for the Day:

  1. Welcome and RefreshmentsThis includes an early lunch, while we wait for everyone to arrive and settle in.
  2. IntroductionWe will share background info about the Dingley’s Promise Early Years Inclusion Programme, as well as our aims for the parent/carer in-person training sessions.
  3. Self-Led TrainingLearners may choose either of the following options:
    1. Self-led Online Training (Recommended) : You can access the training online on your own device (laptop/ tablet/ smartphone) to learn at your own pace.
    2. Group Learning : This is an opportunity to access the training as a group by following the training projected onto the big screen in the room. As this is a shared screen, the speed of progressing through the training will depend on the group’s common pace.
  4. Group DiscussionThis is an opportunity to discuss as a group some key points and important strategies that we learned from the training.
