On this day, parents and carers will be reviewing some (anonymised) Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure their quality and ensure that the voice of the child/ young person and their family is the “golden thread” that runs through the plans.
This parent panel moderation is a key activity in improving the overall quality of plans, with feedback being shared to the EHCP Team manager and the SEND Board as an avenue for learning on top of improving the individual plans that have been reviewed.
Thank you for your interest in joining the EHCP moderation panel.
As we only have a limited number of places for this panel and we’ve already received more expressions of interest than there are available places, any new signups will be added to a waiting list that we will contact should new places become available in the future.
Thank you, everyone, for your dedication in making things better for Manchester families of children and young people with SEND!
Would you like to get involved?
Please send us a message if you would like to become part of this EHCP moderation parent panel. We will then add you to a waiting list of parents and carers that will be contacted should new places open up. To be eligible to join, you have to be a parent/carer of a child or young person with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) in Manchester.
If you are already part of the existing panel, you would already have received an email inviting you to join this session. Please let us know ASAP if you will be able to join this session, as we only have a limited number of places.
