SUMMARY:Family Hubs Consultation
DESCRIPTION:We are looking for parents and carers to help design the new website and brand for the new Family Hubs in Manchester. \nFamily Hubs are a new initiative being developed nationally to ensure services and support for families are better connected. The hubs will be based within communities – ensuring families can easily access the support they need locally. \nWe are inviting parents\, carers and family members to tell us about how they access information for families online\, and how this can be improved. \nWe also want to hear your feedback on the brand ideas for Family Hubs\, including a new logo! \nManchester’s hub venues will be opening in Cheetham Hill (North Manchester)\, Longsight (Central Manchester) and Sharston (South Manchester); with further hub sites opening across the city as the programme develops. \nManchester City Council are already running drop-in sessions at each of the hub locations; this additional session specifically focuses on families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND). \nPlease come along\, learn about this new programme\, and give us your feedback on ideas for the Family Hub brand and website. \nRefreshments will be available throughout and lunch will be served after the session. \nAgenda for the Day: \n\n10am-12pm : Workshop Proper\n\nIntroduction to Family Hubs\nDiscussion around branding\nDiscussion around digital resources\n\n\n12-12:30pm : Lunch\n\n.fusion-button.button-1 {border-radius:2px;}BOOK NOWAbout Family Hubs\nFamily Hubs are centres that\, as part of integrated family services\, ensure families with children and young people aged 0-19 (up to 25 for those with SEND) receive early help to overcome a range of difficulties and build stronger relationships. \nEffective early intervention can improve children’s wellbeing\, educational attainment and life chances\, reduce family poverty\, improve mental health and lead to lower crime\, unemployment and other negative outcomes which carry significant cost to the public purse.
