SUMMARY:Understanding Communication Differences (Central Manchester)
DESCRIPTION:This session is aimed at parents/carers of PRIMARY and SECONDARY school-aged children. *Other sessions in North and South Manchester are available also* \n**The workshop will take place at the Link Community Room located at the rear of Armitage Primary School – look out for the large blue gate located next to number: 13 Haverford Street M12 5HX** \nThis workshop is led by a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in the Social Communication Pathway and will provide the opportunity to: \n\nDevelop your understanding of neurodiversity and communication.\nConsider different preferences and characteristics of communication.\nThink about the factors that can impact on communication.\nConsider your own communication.\nThink about environmental adjustments to support your child to communicate more easily.\nHear about the experiences of other families and share your own experiences if you wish.\n\nBiscuits\, tea and coffee will be provided. \nIf you need an interpreter to access the session\, please email ManchesterSCP.Workshops@mft.nhs.uk \nwith at least a week’s notice before the session.
