Our Space and SEND Together – fellow parent-led organisations in Manchester – are hosting an afternoon get-together for parents and carers to express our views on the Schools White Paper and the SEND Reform proposals.
“Enjoy tea, conversation and community as we stand together for our children.”
No need to book, just drop in!
About the Organisers
Our Space is a youth club that meets weekly at the Dandelion Centre in Wythenshawe. The club is for 7 to 16 year olds with additional needs and is a place where they can be themselves without judgement and make friends while having fun.
SEND Together is a parent/carer group that supports families who have children with additional needs and disabilities. They provide a monthly social group for the children. They also provide workshops to help families and trips for the whole family siblings are always included too.
They are valued member organisations of the Manchester Working Together Network.
Other Ways to Get Involved
If you can’t attend this event, you can still have your say directly through the national consultation: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/send-reform-putting-children-and-young-people-first
In fact, we encourage everyone to individually respond to the consultation even if you have attended a SEND Reform engagement event before.
We will also share other opportunities to provide feedback on the Schools White Paper and/or SEND Reform whenever we can. Please follow us on social media for future announcements.
