DESCRIPTION:×We are pleased to announce that the free tickets are now available to be booked by any family of a neurodivergent child or young person living in the city of Manchester! 🙂As part of the Neurodiversity in Education project in Manchester\, we want parents and carers of neurodivergent children and young people to learn more about neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism)\, meet other parents and carers\, and be better able to support the needs of their family. \nWe thus invite you to join us at this year’s The Autism and ADHD Show\, which will be held on the 4th and 5th of July at the Manchester Central Convention Centre. \nYou can request a ticket from us if you have a neurodivergent child or young person who goes to one of the Manchester schools participating in the Neurodiversity in Education (NiE) project. The fifteen schools currently involved with NiE are: \n\nAcacias Community Primary School\nBarlow Hall Primary School\nBrookburn Primary School\nCharlestown Community Primary School\nCo-Op Academy Manchester\nChrist the King RC Primary School\nDidsbury High School\nLevenshulme High School\nManchester Communication Academy\nOld Moat Primary School\nParrs Wood High School\nRushbrook Primary Academy\nSouthern Cross\nSt. Matthew’s RC High School\nTrinity CoE High School1\n\nWhat is The Autism and ADHD Show?\nThe Autism Show is an annual event that brings together parents\, carers\, professionals and autistic people with autism-specific information\, advice\, products and services. \nAt the show\, you can pick and choose from over 100 hours of talks\, clinics and workshops\, plus hundreds of specialist products and services. Once inside the event\, all content is free to access and CPD certified for professionals. \n\nLeading professionals exploring key topics and offering invaluable advice in the Autism & ADHD Matters Theatre\nPractical strategies and approaches which can make an immediate difference in the Exhibitor Talks\nInvaluable insights from autistic and ADHD adults sharing their lived experiences in the Autism Talks and ADHD Talks\nSpecialist products and services including learning tools\, communication aids\, sensory equipment\, advice and support services\, residential care\, and specialist schools\nFree professional consultations on Managing Challenging Behaviour\, Sleep Support\, Wills and Trusts\, and Post Diagnostic Support\nInteractive features and workshops such as Creative Activity’s modular sensory solution – the Senso Cube by Creative Activity\, Tobii Dynavox’s Unlocking Communication Workshops and Sensory Guru’s The Sensory Classroom\n\n.fusion-button.button-1 {border-radius:2px;}Book NowWhat is Autism in Schools?\nThe Neurodiversity in Education (NiE) project is an initiative jointly funded by the Department for Education (DfE)\, NHS England and Greater Manchester Integrated Care Partnership (GM ICP) that aims to improve support for neurodivergent* children and young people in mainstream schools. \nIt is divided into two categories: \n– Partnerships for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS) is the programme for primary schools.\n– Neurodiversity in Schools (NIS) is the programme for secondary schools. \nThe project involves delivering a wide-ranging programme of neurodiversity training to schools\, developing parent/carer groups at schools to provide opportunities for peer-to-peer support amongst parents/carers and to build stronger relationships between parents & schools\, and supporting schools in helping children and young people develop relationships and welcome their neurodiversity. \nPlease visit https://bit.ly/neurodiversity-in-education-mcr or scan the QR code below for more information. \n \n.fusion-button.button-2 {border-radius:2px;}Book Now\n
