SUMMARY:Solution Circles Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This session aims to introduce the idea of a Solution Circle as an approach parents/carers can use to support each other with complex problems. Once you have attended a Solution Circle\, you may feel in a position to facilitate further circles for other parents and carers in the future. \nIt involves participating in a problem-solving discussion with a small group of other parents/carers. A simple structured problem-solving framework will be followed. \n\nA ‘problem’ is brought by a member of the circle (“problem-holder”) for discussion. The rest of the group listens. \nThe group has a chance to respond with ideas – the problem-holder has to listen!\nThe problem-holder and the group then engage in shared discussion where each can ask questions/clarify ideas. The problem-holder identifies next steps from suggestions from the group.\n\nHopefully\, some of the issues/concerns will be common to others and you will gain useful ideas and support by meeting other parents and carers. \nBooking required. Lunch included. \nThis event is for parents and carers of children or young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) who live in the city of Manchester.
