Earlier this year, Manchester launched the Emotional Barriers to School Attendance (EBSA) guidance for schools, including a “Planning for Change” toolkit – an easy-to-use tool to help professionals to identify a child’s underlying needs relating to EBSA and to plan the necessary support.

This workshop is for city of Manchester parents/carers and will be co-delivered by educational psychologists from One Education and a parent-carer from the MPCF team with lived experience of EBSA.

We will cover:

  • What are Emotional Barriers to School Attendance?
  • Neurodiversity and EBSA
  • Working with schools
  • Using the Planning for Change tool
  • Signposting and support
