SUMMARY:"Exploring Neurodiversity" Workshop
DESCRIPTION:As part of the Neurodiversity in Education (NiE) project\, we will be opening a few training modules for parents and carers\, with this first one focusing on “Exploring Neurodiversity“. \nWith this training\, we aim to: \n\nIncrease awareness and understanding of neurodiversity\nTalk about how schools can promote inclusivity\nChallenge myths and misconceptions\nEmpower parent-carers\nExplain the legal frameworks that apply to neurodiversity\n\nWho is this training for?\nWe will first offer tickets to parents and carers whose child/ young person goes to one of the schools signed up for the NiE project: \n\nAcacias Community Primary School\nBarlow Hall Primary School\nBrookburn Primary School\nCharlestown Community Primary School\nCo-Op Academy Manchester\nChrist the King RC Primary School\nDidsbury High School\nLevenshulme High School\nManchester Communication Academy\nOld Moat Primary School\nParrs Wood High School\nRushbrook Primary Academy\nSouthern Cross\nSt. Matthew’s RC High School\nTrinity CoE High School\n\nIf your child doesn’t go to one of these schools\, please follow us on social media to receive updates when tickets are opened for non-NiE schools. \n.fusion-button.button-1 {border-radius:2px;}Book NowCan’t attend this session?\nIf you’re interested in accessing the workshop but can’t join us on this day\, please check these two other sessions (of the same training) that we will be running in other areas of the city: \n\nTuesday\, 6 May 2025\, 10am-12pm @ The Avenue Library and Learning Centre\nWednesday\, 14 May 2025\, 10am-12pm @ Moss Side Millenium Powerhouse\n\nImportant Notes:\n\nThis workshop is for parents and carers only.
