SUMMARY:Understanding Communication Differences (South Manchester)
DESCRIPTION:This session is aimed at parents/carers of PRIMARY and SECONDARY school-aged children. *Other sessions in North and Central Manchester are available also* \nThis workshop is led by a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in the Social Communication Pathway and will provide the opportunity to: \n\nDevelop your understanding of neurodiversity and communication.\nConsider different preferences and characteristics of communication.\nThink about the factors that can impact on communication.\nConsider your own communication.\nThink about environmental adjustments to support your child to communicate more easily.\nHear about the experiences of other families and share your own experiences if you wish.\n\nBiscuits\, tea and coffee will be provided. \nIf you need an interpreter to access the session\, please email ManchesterSCP.Workshops@mft.nhs.uk \nwith at least a week’s notice before the session.
