Grab a pillow, blanket, or your favourite squishy and join us at our inclusive Easter party!
We will be getting comfy with our families to watch a short Easter-themed movie whilst we snack on yummy popcorn.
After the movie, we will have more family fun with our Easter games and crafts, and Easter egg hunt! A light lunch and refreshments will be provided.
There will be a sensory room available for children that need a quiet space.
Important Notes:
- You are responsible for your own children’s safety throughout the session.
- This event is exclusively for families of deaf, disabled and neurodivergent children & young people living in the city of Manchester.
- Siblings without SEND (Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities) are also welcome to join.
Need Help with the Online Booking?
For those who will be at our coffee morning on Monday the 30th of March, we can help with bookings there (subject to ticket availability) if you need support with navigating the Eventbrite booking system.
Alternatively, please ring the Local Offer team (0161 219 2125) for help with booking if needed.
Manchester Parent Carer Forum (MPCF) is committed to making the event as welcoming and comfortable as possible. You can expect:
- This event is exclusive to families of children and young people with additional needs and/or disabilities.
- Peace of Mind – All MPCF staff and volunteers have lived experience of SEND so you can rest assured that there will be a level of empathy and understanding with any needs, difficulties or quirks that may arise on the day. Please speak to a member of the team if you have a request to make for a better experience. We will also be supported by Martencroft staff who have supporting various families in local children’s centres.
- A Quieter Experience – We can reduce the volume and/or request for some lights to be kept on/ switched off, if needed, ensuring that your visit will not be too overwhelming.
- Accessibility Considerations – The rooms that we will be using in the centre are accessible to wheelchair and buggy users. We can switch on subtitles if needed.
- In Your Own Time – No need to rush and bustle. Whether you are coming late or have to leave early, it’s okay with us.
To be announced.
We will ensure that the film is suitable for children.
There a parking lot that you can access to the side of the centre (via Poynton Street).
There are various transport links to the venue. This includes buses 53, 85, 101, 102, 250, 263, and a few more that have stops 3-5 minutes walk away.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:
Much thanks to Martenscroft Children’s Centre for hosting us on this day and to the SEND Local Offer for making this possible.
