You can expect: \n\nThis event is exclusive to families of children and young people with additional needs and/or disabilities.\nPeace of Mind – All MPCF staff and volunteers have lived experience of SEND so you can rest assured that there will be a level of empathy and understanding with any needs\, difficulties or quirks that may arise on the day. Please speak to a member of the team if you have a request to make for a better experience. We will also be supported by Martencroft staff who have supporting various families in local children’s centres.\nA Quieter Experience – We can reduce the volume and/or request for some lights to be kept on/ switched off\, if needed\, ensuring that your visit will not be too overwhelming.\nAccessibility Considerations – The rooms that we will be using in the centre are accessible to wheelchair and buggy users. We can switch on subtitles if needed.\nIn Your Own Time – No need to rush and bustle. Whether you are coming late or have to leave early\, it’s okay with us.\n\n\nWhat movie(s) will we be showing?\nTo be announced. \nWe will ensure that the film is suitable for children. \nIs there free parking?\nThere a parking lot that you can access to the side of the centre (via Poynton Street). \nHow can I get there if I don't drive?\nThere are various transport links to the venue. This includes buses 53\, 85\, 101\, 102\, 250\, 263\, and a few more that have stops 3-5 minutes walk away. \nACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:\nMuch thanks to Martenscroft Children’s Centre for hosting us on this day and to the SEND Local Offer for making this possible. \nLOOKING FOR OTHER INCLUSIVE ACTIVITIES?\nThis family event is part of Manchester’s SEND Community Offer. \nTo find out more about the SEND Community Offer\, including the other free activities available to Manchester families of children and young people with SEND during the autumn half-term break\, please visit and/or subscribe to the Local Offer newsletter. \n.fusion-button.button-2 {border-radius:2px;}BOOK NOW×\nEvents that are part of the SEND Community Offer are exclusively for families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) living in the city of Manchester\, i.e. those who live in an area covered by Manchester City Council.\n\n\nTo ensure that places for these events go to the right cohort\, we are considering a system where parents/carers can either upload their proof of residence virtually or show it in person.\n\nPlease help us develop and improve this system by answering a short survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/proof-of-residence\n\n\n
