DESCRIPTION:Join us and other families of deaf\, disabled and neurodivergent children and young people as we watch a wonderfully inclusive performance of “Perfect Show For Rachel” at Contact theatre\, courtesy of Manchester’s SEND Community Offer! \n\nStep into the gloriously unpredictable world of Rachel’s Perfect Show… Where a learning-disabled artist takes the reins and creates pure theatrical magic in real time. Rachel\, a 35-year-old care-home resident with a wicked sense of humour and a love of Kylie Minogue\, commands the stage from her throne and custom-built tech desk\, directing every performance at the touch of a button. Expect singing snacks\, barroom brawls and maybe even a Beyoncé moment\, as Rachel puts her cast through their paces in this hilarious\, heart-filled celebration of creativity. \nBlending the wild fun of Drag Race\, Whose Line Is It Anyway?\, and hit musical energy\, this award-winning\, five-star show from ZooCo and Improbable Theatre doesn’t just champion inclusivity\, diversity\, accessibility and joy\, it puts them centre stage. \nAll performances are relaxed\, with creative captions and integrated BSL\, welcoming everyone to move\, make noise and enjoy theatre on their own terms. \n\nPlease visit Contact theatre’s website for more info about this show and read further for more info on how to book your family’s free places. \nEligibility:\n\nYou must have a family member who is:\n\ndeaf\, disabled or neurodivergent\, aged 0-18 years old; OR\na young carer (someone aged 18 or under who helps look after a loved one who has a condition\, such as a disability\, illness\, mental health condition\, or a drug or alcohol problem)\n\n\nYou must live in the city of Manchester (i.e.\, under Manchester City Council).\n\nImportant Notes:\n\nYou’re responsible for your own children’s safety throughout the session.\nThe show is recommended for people aged 14+ (due to strong language) but younger children are welcome with parent/carer discretion.\nFlashing lights may be used during this performance.\nPlease arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time.\nMany of Contact’s shows have a no latecomers policy.
