SUMMARY:SEND Afternoon Tea Party - Our Space + SEND Together
DESCRIPTION:Our Space and SEND Together – fellow parent-led organisations in Manchester –  are hosting an afternoon get-together for parents and carers to express our views on the Schools White Paper and the SEND Reform proposals. \n“Enjoy tea\, conversation and community as we stand together for our children.” \nNo need to book\, just drop in! \nAbout the Organisers\nOur Space is a youth club that meets weekly at the Dandelion Centre in Wythenshawe. The club is for 7 to 16 year olds with additional needs and is a place where they can be themselves without judgement and make friends while having fun. \nSEND Together is a parent/carer group that supports families who have children with additional needs and disabilities. They provide a monthly social group for the children. They also provide workshops to help families and trips for the whole family siblings are always included too. \nThey are valued member organisations of the Manchester Working Together Network. \nOther Ways to Get Involved\nIf you can’t attend this event\, you can still have your say directly through the national consultation: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/send-reform-putting-children-and-young-people-first \nIn fact\, we encourage everyone to individually respond to the consultation even if you have attended a SEND Reform engagement event before. \nWe will also share other opportunities to provide feedback on the Schools White Paper and/or SEND Reform whenever we can.
