Previously called the Social Communication Pathway (SCP), the Manchester Neurodevelopmental (ND) Service is our local assessment and support service for children and young people (aged 3 to 18 years) who experience differences or difficulties with:

* Social relationships
* Expressing and understanding feelings
* Communication
* Changes to routine/unexpected changes
* Sensitivity to sensory input such as noise, textures and tastes
* Young people may also have special interests and things they are very good at

Please visit manchesterparentcarerforum.org.uk/tag/manchester-neurodevelopmental-service for more information about the Manchester ND Service (MNDS).

The University of Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) runs FREE workshops for parents and carers of children aged 3-5 years who are or may be neurodivergent, regardless of whether they have a formal autism or ADHD diagnosis. You can learn about and book for these workshops by accessing the relevant event page(s) listed below.

We, MFT, RHOSEY, and other parents & local partners also co-produced a resource that contains useful information and advice for children in the Early Years (age 0 to 5). It’s called FRED (Family Resources for Early Development), which you can access here.

The MFT has also developed a padlet where you can find even more information about the assessment process and help & support that’s available for families of Early Years children. Visit this link to open the padlet.
