SEND Health Hub – Parent/Carer Workshop

The SEND Health Hub is a new service for children & young people who attend a special school in Manchester.

Set up in response to COVID-19, the Hub is a team of therapists and nurses from different professions who aim to provide advice & support for difficulties arising from the pandemic.

Since June of this year, the team has received referrals from schools & provided support via phone or video call to families. They would now like to hear from parents & carers to understand how to further develop this vital service & start to accept requests for support directly from families.

Manchester Parent Carer Forum is a group of parents and carers of disabled children who work with Manchester Local Authorities, Education Settings, Health Providers and other providers to make sure the services they plan and deliver meet the needs of disabled children and young people (0-25 years), as well as their families, in Manchester.

We have a steering group of parent and carer volunteers who lead this work and listen to the views of other parents and carers in the local area to make sure they know what is important to them.
