This is a gentle, rejuvenating yoga class, specifically held for parents & carers of those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and the wider carer community.
The sessions are led by Tammy (Yoga for All Manchester), a fellow parent-carer who is trained in yoga and yoga nidra and is fully insured.
Classes are designed to include breath awareness, meditation techniques and physical postures to help provide carers some emotional, mental and physical resilience to help cope with the challenges involved with caring, as well as allowing some valuable time to recharge. Every session ends with a relaxation period.
The class is suitable for both absolute beginners and those who have previously practiced. This is a non-judgemental space, open to all, where you are free to practice as much or as little as you like.
Please wear comfortable loose or stretchy clothes (no jeans!). No need for fancy “yoga clothes” – jogging bottoms or leggings will be fine.
Sessions are held weekly during term-time and are offered on a donation basis – please only pay what you feel you are able to.
There is a single flight of stairs to access the studio. Please let Tammy know if you need any support in accessing this class.
Please message Tammy (Yoga For All Manchester) on Facebook or call/text 07827372288, or email her for any questions.
A gentle and nourishing session with aspects of breath awareness meditative techniques, flowing movement and held, supported postures, followed by a long final relaxation.
A non-judgemental space to just ‘be’ amongst other carers.
I offer several variations to the postural work and movements so please let me know in advance if you’d require specific variations. I can assist here with chairs or other props.
