Manchester City Council are putting together a document that will describe the ordinarily available provision in Manchester for young children with additional needs, i.e., what early years settings and nurseries should already be doing to support them, without extra funding or a plan, etc. Once finished, this document will be shared with professionals and parents so that the expectations of inclusion from the Local Authority (LA) are clear to everyone.

In the process of creating this document, the LA are meeting with both professionals and parent-carers, in order to get the views of all involved. A few sessions have already been done in the past, where stakeholders (including parents) looked at Manchester’s Inclusion Strategy and the Matching Provision to Need Tool (MPNT), as well as cross referencing with the Local Offer website.

We would like to invite you to join us at this meeting and get involved in the co-production of this important piece of document. This is a great opportunity for us to describe what should be available for all young children across the range of needs.

Lunch and transportation can be provided.

Please contact us ASAP if you would like to attend the session.
