Yesterday, I had a Zoom chat with Will from Carers Manchester, where I talked about how the lockdown affected my family, what it meant for me as a carer and the positives that it brought to us, even through the difficulties. I shared our journey with Helaina’s Costello syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects many parts of the body, and how it inspired us to form Costello Kids. I also talked about my involvement with the forum and how other parents & carers can get involved.

Many thanks to Carers Manchester for the opportunity to speak about the caring role. If you’re a carer living in Manchester, remember that you’re not alone. There is plenty of support for you out there.
