This free course will be delivered by Eleanor Wright, coordinator & solicitor for SOS!SEN. She will be joined by Dr. Ann Bauer, an assessor, specialist teacher, researcher and writer, who has plenty of knowledge and experience about the EHCP process.
We will discuss:
- What is the law around annual reviews?
- Who should attend
- What reports should be obtained, and what should they cover
- Preparing for annual review meetings
- Asking for changes to EHCPs and school placements
- What should happen after an annual review, including appeal rights
About the Trainers:
SOS!SEN is a national charity aiming to empower parents and carers of children with SEN to tackle successfully the difficulties they face when promoting their children’s rights.
They run regular training sessions such as requesting an EHC needs assessment, how to appeal an existing EHC plan, and how to prepare for a Tribunal hearing.
