Manchester has been awarded funding to develop Family Hubs across the city. Family Hubs are venues that will be based in our neighbourhoods and will offer a variety of services to support families, and ensure they can access the support they need early on.

Family Hubs are a national initiative, and each council is developing a “Theory of Change” model to support the work. Put simply, this is a plan that will help us to identify how the activities we undertake can best meet the needs of those who will use them.

Some work has already been done with key contacts in the city, and we would like to extend the opportunity for others to feed into this planning stage.

We have a workshop session planned for:

  • Wednesday, 15th March
    10am – 12:30pm
St. Thomas Centre, Ardwick, Manchester M12 6FZ

At the session, you will be provided information on the Family Hubs and details of the discussions so far. There will then be the opportunity to provide your feedback and provide suggestions of what you think should be included in the plans.

We will serve lunch at the end of the session (from 12pm) so please inform us of any dietary requirements when booking your place.

If you would like to attend, or would like further details, please contact Emma McCarten on emma.mccarten@manchester.gov.uk or via 07940724265.
