The Council for Disabled Children (CDC) will be delivering a series of information webinars that are designed to help us better understand the “SEND Reform: Putting Children and Young People First” government consultation.
This webinar on the 10th of March, 1 to 2pm, is targeted towards parents and carers.
We are holding this in-person “watch group” so that we can all watch the webinar together with fellow Manchester parents and carers. Please join us from 12pm for lunch and an informal chat while we wait for the webinar to start.
We can also have a chat after the webinar but it’s okay to leave early if needed.
NOTES:
- There will be another webinar for parents and carers on Monday, the 9th of March, 10 to 11am. If you are a parent/carer, you only need to register for one of these 2 webinars, as the content will be the same.
- As these are just information sessions, there won’t be an opportunity to ask the presenters any questions during the session. However, you are welcome to share with us your comments and concerns after the webinar, and we will try to bring them to future meetings that we attend about the reforms.
- You can find helpful fact sheets here to aid this session.
- These are information sharing sessions designed to help people understand the content of the SEND consultation paper and do not form part of an official consultation. Please visit the official SEND Reform Consultation page to respond to the consultation.
Online Consultation Conversation Events
After the information webinars have taken place, the Council for Disabled Children will be delivering a series of online consultation conversation events to discuss the SEND consultation paper in more detail. They will share this information on their LinkedIn page and update their website when these events are available to book.
