Manchester Children and Young People’s Summit

This children and young people’s summit will enable us to:

  • Engage with wider stakeholders, parents and children and young people.
  • Address the city’s biggest challenges in respect of children and young people .
  • Improve connectivity across the system to inform how we can make significant improvements in care, service provision and communication.
  • Explore how we can Influence long term gains in children, young people and family outcomes, to inform the future commissioning direction and approach.

MPCF has been given an opportunity to speak in this event, which we have accepted.

Our core group member, Cath Stone, is scheduled to speak around 13:05 to 13:20.

Manchester Parent Carer Forum is a group of parents and carers of disabled children who work with Manchester Local Authorities, Education Settings, Health Providers and other providers to make sure the services they plan and deliver meet the needs of disabled children and young people (0-25 years), as well as their families, in Manchester.

We have a steering group of parent and carer volunteers who lead this work and listen to the views of other parents and carers in the local area to make sure they know what is important to them.
