Join us on Friday, 9 May 2025, for a coffee morning at Martenscroft Children’s Centre in Hulme.

It’s an opportunity to meet and chat with fellow parents & carers of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) in a relaxed and friendly setting.

We will be joined this day by two project workers from Carers Manchester, who are keen to speak with male carers about their experiences with taking short breaks from their caring role. This conversation will feed into their wider work in developing a city-wide Carers Breaks Strategy.

Manchester Parent Carer Forum is a group of parents and carers of disabled children who work with Manchester Local Authorities, Education Settings, Health Providers and other providers to make sure the services they plan and deliver meet the needs of disabled children and young people (0-25 years), as well as their families, in Manchester.

We have a steering group of parent and carer volunteers who lead this work and listen to the views of other parents and carers in the local area to make sure they know what is important to them.
