Join us at Manchester Art Gallery (MAG) for a relaxed creative session especially designed for children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) living in Manchester!
The session will be facilitated by Autism for the Arts and will be led by the wonderful Nadia, who leads the Open Doors sessions at MAG.
Children will explore different arts and crafts, including clay modelling and Easter egg designs, among others.
There will be FREE lunch for the children to enjoy at the end of the session.
Siblings and other family members without SEND are also welcome to join.
There’s plenty more to do at Manchester Art Gallery!
Why not check out MAG’s main galleries and exhibitions before or after our relaxed creative session, or anytime during the Easter break? They have plenty of family friendly exhibitions and workshops running this month, including the Open Doors session on the 11th of April and creative sessions at the Lion’s Den at various days during the holidays (1-3:30pm on 5, 9, 12, 14, 15 April).
The majority of MAG’s front of house staff have taken part in training to become more autism aware.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
You must remain responsible for your family’s safety and well-being during the event. Please ensure that your children are supervised by a responsible adult at all times during the day.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:
Much thanks to Autism for the Arts for facilitating the session and to Manchester Art Gallery for hosting the event.
