Review of Social Communication Pathway Diagnostic Reports

We are looking for parents/carers to join a panel that will review how diagnostic reports for the Social Communication Pathway (SCP) are written.

The panel’s meeting will be on 11th March, 9:30-11am, and we would like to invite 2 parents/carers to join the forum in reviewing the reports together with some members of the Social Communication Assessment and Intervention Team (SCAIT).

The group has previously already come up with some report ideas so we would like to have a pre-meeting chat with Dr. Jo Bromley, who is the Service Lead for the Clinical Service for Children with Disabilities. During this initial meeting (10 March, 11am-12pm), Dr. Bromley will brief us on the existing ideas in preparation for the next day’s panel session.

Manchester Parent Carer Forum is a group of parents and carers of disabled children who work with Manchester Local Authorities, Education Settings, Health Providers and other providers to make sure the services they plan and deliver meet the needs of disabled children and young people (0-25 years), as well as their families, in Manchester.

We have a steering group of parent and carer volunteers who lead this work and listen to the views of other parents and carers in the local area to make sure they know what is important to them.
