Sacred Heart Family Hub invites parents and carers to their new SEND Peer Support sessions!

In this session, educational psychologists from One Education will be delivering an Early Years workshop for parents/carers of children under 5, particularly if your child is due to start at school in September 2026.

If you have concerns or questions about your child’s development and/or their transition onto school, then come along to the early years parent workshop. The session will offer:

• An overview on working with schools and support for children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).

• An opportunity to discuss your options for the next steps in your child’ s Early Years journey, including how best you and the nursery or school can support a positive transition into reception for your child.

No need to book; just drop in. You can bring along your pre-school child if needed.

Manchester Parent Carer Forum is a group of parents and carers of disabled children who work with Manchester Local Authorities, Education Settings, Health Providers and other providers to make sure the services they plan and deliver meet the needs of disabled children and young people (0-25 years), as well as their families, in Manchester.

We have a steering group of parent and carer volunteers who lead this work and listen to the views of other parents and carers in the local area to make sure they know what is important to them.
