SEND Support in Schools (Without an EHCP)

The Manchester Parent Champions will be running this workshop at the North Family Hub.

  • Help your child get what they need to thrive. Children in mainstream schools are entitled to have their SEND needs met even without an EHCP.
  • Learn about SEND Support. The SEND Code of Practice clearly sets out the support that children with SEND should receive even without an EHCP.
  • Improve your confidence and knowledge. Knowing what the law and guidance says will build your confidence in communicating the support that your child is entitled to.

All attendees will receive a copy of the SEND Code of Practice.

Manchester Parent Carer Forum is a group of parents and carers of disabled children who work with Manchester Local Authorities, Education Settings, Health Providers and other providers to make sure the services they plan and deliver meet the needs of disabled children and young people (0-25 years), as well as their families, in Manchester.

We have a steering group of parent and carer volunteers who lead this work and listen to the views of other parents and carers in the local area to make sure they know what is important to them.
