This workshop is for parents of disabled children who want to know more about supporting siblings.
It will be delivered by Sibs, the UK charity that exists to support people who grow up with or have grown up with a disabled brother or sister.
We aim to help parents of disabled children find ways of giving attention, information, and support to the other children in their families.
What participants will gain:
- Insight into siblings’ needs and experiences
- Practical ideas for giving siblings attention, explaining disability and supporting siblings with their feelings
- Further sources of information
Lunch and refreshments will be provided as part of your booking. Please let us know of any dietary requirements during booking.
Note/Update: This workshop was made possible through funding from the Autism in Schools project but we are now opening it to all parents/carers of children and young people with SEND in Manchester.
