This workshop will develop your understanding of the sensory system.

It considers how neurodivergent individuals may experience sensory differences.

It will help you to think about how this can affect everyday life activities and will explore strategies to consider when offering support.

The workshop is for parents and carers of children at pre-school years, up to 5 yrs of age.

Booking is essential. This is a parent-only session so please do not bring children to the workshop.

As a Social Communication Pathway workshop, this session is offered to parents and carers of children or young people who are either currently on the SCP waiting list for an autism assessment or have received a formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition from Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).

This can be from any of the three Social Communication Pathway (SCP) teams – South Manchester (Carol Kendrick Centre), Central Manchester (The Powerhouse/ Winnicott Centre), and North Manchester (The Powerhouse/The Bridge).
