Join fellow carers on a self-guided tour of People’s History Museum (PHM), which is the national museum of democracy.

Explore and learn of empowering stories about those who spoke out, transformed society, and shaped the society that we live in today.

  • 10:30am : Meet-up at the museum entrance
  • 12pm : Meet-up at the museum cafe for lunch and a catch-up

  • The Carers Short Breaks organised by Manchester Carers Centre are meant to connect carers with other carers and to allow you to take a much-deserved break from the caring role. As such, we are advised not to bring your cared-for at these sessions.

About the Organisers:

Manchester Carers Centre is a local charity that delivers a range of FREE high quality support services for unpaid Carers in Manchester. These services include practical help, community drop-ins, respite breaks, social activities, access to grants and training, and a dedicated Young Adult Carers Service for Carers who are 16 to 25 years old.

They run monthly activities for carers to help them connect with other carers and take a much-deserved break from their caring role.

About Carers Rights Day:

Carers Rights Day is an annual event raising awareness of the caring role, helping to identify carers and signposting them to information, advice and support.
