Our friends from Lyndene House* have kindly offered to host an Easter Table Centrepiece Flower Arranging session for parents and carers of children/ young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabiltiies (SEND) in Manchester.

It will be a great opportunity to:

  • Do flower arrangement together with fellow parents and carers
  • Have light conversations with other parents and carers
  • Have a brew and lunch in a relaxed setting

At the end of the session, we will also give you an Easter Activities Pack for the whole family to complete together at home.

We previously advertised this event as happening at Lyndene House. However, due to urgent, unforeseen circumstances, we will now have to move the event to Benchill Sure Start Children’s Centre, which is just a few metres down the same road, on 22 Lyndene Rd, Wythenshawe, Manchester M22 4PZ.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this change in venue may have caused.

Lyndene House* is a new, innovative short breaks and outreach support service benefiting children & young people with autism and/or learning disabilities. The service would particularly benefit children & young people who are on the edge of care.

* The service is currently known as Lyndene House but this will change following families’ involvement to rename it.

** When you enter the address on Google Maps, it shows the private home beside Lyndene House. Please note that our venue (53a) is the bigger property to the right of #53.

This shows a screenshot of the Google Maps Satellite View of Lyndene House. We've encircled the property with red ink to prevent confusion between Lyndene House (53a Lyndene Road) and the private property beside it (53 Lyndene Road).

What does “edge of care” mean?

Edge of care refers to a situation where a child or young person is at risk of entering the looked after system

The aim of edge of care services is to prevent escalation of risk and to keep the child/ young person safely with their family and in their own community.
