This session will provide information about NHS England’s national Dynamic Support Register (DSR) directive and new policy, including how we plan to launch this in Manchester.

We aim for this to be an interactive session and want it to be a safe space for parents, carers, and advocates of young people to ask questions, raise concerns and genuinely contribute to the establishment of our Dynamic Support Register.

The session will include representatives from:

  • NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board
  • Manchester City Council – Department for Children’s Services and Education
  • Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust
  • Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
  • Barnardo’s

There will also be opportunities to speak with established community services, including:

  • CAMHS Intensive Support Team
  • CAMHS Specialist Community Service for Learning Disabilities and Autism
  • Social Communication Pathway
  • Barnardo’s Keyworker Service

This event is just the beginning of the process to implement the Dynamic Support Register (DSR) in Manchester. The multiagency partners hope to be able to provide assurance about the DSR, consent required, and services available to support our children and young people.

This is an excellent opportunity for our partners in Health and the Local Authority to listen, learn and co-produce a dynamic model in partnership with us parents and carers.

The new DSR and Care, Education and Treatment Review (CETR) Policy and Guidance has recently been published and can be found here: https://www.england.nhs.uk/publication/dynamic-support-register-and-care-education-and-treatment-review-policy-and-guide/

There also are Easy Read and plain English versions of the policy, which have been co-produced with people with a learning disability and autistic people.

You can watch these films to find out how the national DSR CETR policy has been co-produced and how it will help to prevent unnecessary admissions for people with a learning disability and/or autistic people, from the perspective of a:
