BECOME A MEMBER

The Intensive Support Team (IST) is a new team of clinical psychologists, community learning disability nurses, a speech and language therapist, and an occupational therapist working with children and young people with learning disabilities.

The IST helps families and services to understand extreme distress and supports them to make environmental and practical changes by using person-centred support plans for each young person and their family.

This multi-disciplinary team works under the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) and is based at the Carol Kendrick Centre.
