Manchester City Council are putting together a document that will describe the ordinarily available provision for young children with additional needs in Manchester, i.e., what early years settings and nurseries are expected to be doing to support them, even without extra funding or an Education Health & Care Plan (EHCP). Once finished, this document will be shared with professionals and parents so that the expectations of inclusion from the Local Authority (LA) are clear to everyone.

The local authority are looking to meet with parents and carers, in order to get our views about the topic.

A few sessions have already been done in the past, where stakeholders (including parents) looked at Manchester’s Inclusion Strategy and the Matching Provision to Need Tool (MPNT), as well as cross referencing with the Local Offer website.

We would like to invite you to join us at this meeting and get involved in the co-production of this important piece of document. This is a great opportunity for us to describe what should ideally be available for Early Years children across the range of needs.

Lunch will be provided and transportation can either be booked in advance or reimbursed, as necessary.

Please contact us if you would like to attend the session. Please mention any dietary requirements as well as your preferred pickup times & address when booking.
