As part of the review of Home-to-School Transport in Manchester, the Manchester City Council wants to talk to parents & carers to get our views on the service in terms of:
- what works well
- what are the challenges and barriers
- where are the opportunities for improvement.
We would really appreciate an open and honest discussion so we can establish key messages and themes. We will not attribute anything to individuals.
The discussions will start at 10:15 but food and refreshments will be available from 10am.
Covid Safety Measures
- In order to minimise risk, we will be welcoming much less people than the room’s maximum capacity.
- We will open windows and/or doors to improve air circulation, where possible.
- Hand sanitisers and hand washing facilities will be available at the venue.
- Please reconsider attending if you are not feeling well or have shown signs of illness close to the day. In this scenario, we’d also request that you cancel your booking in order to open space for other parents/carers in the waiting list.
In line with Covid guidance, we may ask attendees who are showing symptoms to leave. Please visit https://www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-covid-19/events-and-attractions for more information.
Other ways to get involved:
We recognise that some parents/carers who wish to get involved may not be able to attend face-to-face sessions like this.
- If you prefer to attend a virtual session in the evening (8 February), please visit this page: http://manchesterparentcarerforum.org.uk/event/home-to-school-transport-virtual-consultation-20220208/
- If you prefer to attend a virtual session in the morning (9 February), please visit this page: http://manchesterparentcarerforum.org.uk/event/home-to-school-transport-virtual-consultation-20220209/
- Alternatively, you can answer this survey if you are not able to join any of the above sessions (or if you wish to send feedback beforehand): https://bit.ly/mcr-school-transport-survey
