National Supported Internship Day 2024

Manchester City Council is hosting an event on MS Teams to mark #NSID2024 (National Supported Internship Day) and celebrate Supported Internships in Manchester.

Please join us between 2pm and 3pm to hear all things internships from colleges, employers and young people.

P.S. If your young person has experienced or is accessing a successful/enjoyable/helpful internship, we invite you to share your story at this event! We want to showcase positive experiences this day so the more that we can share, the better!

National Supported Internship Day is the first national celebration of supported internships in the UK. It was launched in 2023 by charity DFN Project SEARCH and is held annually on 27th March.

Manchester Parent Carer Forum is a group of parents and carers of disabled children who work with Manchester Local Authorities, Education Settings, Health Providers and other providers to make sure the services they plan and deliver meet the needs of disabled children and young people (0-25 years), as well as their families, in Manchester.

We have a steering group of parent and carer volunteers who lead this work and listen to the views of other parents and carers in the local area to make sure they know what is important to them.
