Parent/ Carer Q&A – COVID Vaccination in Special Schools

You might be aware that COVID-19 vaccinations for those aged 12 and up have started rolling out since the end of last year.

This Questions and Answer (Q&A) session is for parents and carers of children/ young people age 12-17 who attend specialist support schools in the City of Manchester.

The session aims to allow parents to talk through any concerns or issues they have ahead of the vaccination sessions taking part in schools.

It will be very informal discussion and will be attended by a community paediatrician, and possibly some neighbourhood health teams.

Manchester Parent Carer Forum is a group of parents and carers of disabled children who work with Manchester Local Authorities, Education Settings, Health Providers and other providers to make sure the services they plan and deliver meet the needs of disabled children and young people (0-25 years), as well as their families, in Manchester.

We have a steering group of parent and carer volunteers who lead this work and listen to the views of other parents and carers in the local area to make sure they know what is important to them.
