Join us at the Science and Industry Museum for a family-friendly session in their “Power UP” interactive gaming exhibition.
“Play the very best video games from the past five decades and try out over a hundred different consoles. There’s something for everyone, from Pong to Pacman, Sonic to Street Fighter and Mario to Minecraft, plus a selection of games created in Manchester.”
Entry to the exhibition will be between 10am and 10:30am, and you can stay for as long as you like once inside. Please note that paying members of the public will also have access to the exhibition during our stay.
We will be serving a snack pack and drink for all attendees. These can be collected from the MPCF team, between 11am to 11:30am, at the picnic area on the 1st floor.
Siblings without SEND and other family members are also welcome to join.
Please note that you’re responsible for your own children’s safety during the session.
There’s plenty more to do at the Science and Industry Museum!
Why not check out the museum’s main galleries and exhibitions after our Power UP session? They have plenty of interactive features and there’s lots to learn about. The museum also has its own holiday programme of activities happening throughout the day that everyone is free to attend, including:
- Pick up a Play Passport — Follow your curiosity and find pop-up activities across the museum.
- Explore the Rust Retreat — A sensory experience inspired by Manchester’s industrial past and present
- Spark your imagination at the Story Station
- Get hands-on and find out how play creates innovation and scientific discovery
IMPORTANT NOTE:
You must remain responsible for your family’s safety and well-being during the event. Please ensure that your children are supervised by a responsible adult at all times during the day.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:
Much thanks to the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme, and our partners 4CT Limited and the SEND Local Offer, for helping make this possible.
We also want to thank the Science and Industry Museum for hosting us on this day.
