We invite Manchester’s SEND families to join us for an inclusive, family-friendly festive celebration at Moss Side Millenium Powerhouse on Saturday, 30 November, from 2pm.
There will be loads of fun stuff for the kids, including:
- Arts and Crafts
- Pool (Pocket billiards)
- Table football
- Twiddles (ribbons for those who like to stim)
- Relaxed screening of a festive-themed movie (title to be announced).
- Plus: An opportunity to join our annual Christmas card design contest!
There will be snacks and refreshments aplenty for all to enjoy.

What makes it SEND-Friendly?
Manchester Parent Carer Forum (MPCF) is committed to making the event as welcoming and comfortable as possible. You can expect:
- This event is exclusive to families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) aged 0 – 25 years.
- Peace of Mind – All MPCF staff and volunteers have lived experience of SEND so you can rest assured that there will be a level of empathy and understanding with any needs or quirks that may arise on the day. Please speak to a member of the team if you have a request to make for a better experience.
- A Quieter Experience – We will reduce the volume of music and/or the film, if needed. We can also keep some of lights on at the cinema room if required.
- Step-free Access – Wheelchair and buggy users can use the centre’s lift to get to our upstairs events space.
- Wider Arrival Window – No need to rush and bustle. Whether you are coming late or have to leave early, it’s okay with us.
