You may have recently seen news about a new specialist secondary school that is being planned to be built in East/North Manchester over the next year.

The proposal is for the new secondary specialist school to be built on land off Sawley Road in Miles Platting, with a target date to open the school in September 2024. It will be established as a free school academy and will have space for 150 pupils aged between 11 and 19 years old.

Manchester City Council published a consultation about the proposals in February, which is now closed for responses.
