Manchester Day is an annual civic festival and parade designed to celebrate our city’s rich history, diverse culture, and community spirit.

This year (2026) celebrates Manchester’s cultural links with Barcelona as well as the National Year of Reading.

It will be held on Sunday, 26 July, and there will be plenty of free family fun in the city centre, including a colourful parade, captivating street shows, live music, have-a-go activities, and loads more. There will also be guest performers from Barcelona, who will bring a taste of Catalan culture to our city streets.

Manchester Parent Carer Forum is a group of parents and carers of disabled children who work with Manchester Local Authorities, Education Settings, Health Providers and other providers to make sure the services they plan and deliver meet the needs of disabled children and young people (0-25 years), as well as their families, in Manchester.

We have a steering group of parent and carer volunteers who lead this work and listen to the views of other parents and carers in the local area to make sure they know what is important to them.
