Manchester has had guidance on Ordinarily Available Provision within schools and settings since 2019.
The guidance outlines what should be easily available for children within the SEN Support level in mainstream settings – support, strategies and activities for those with additional needs, regardless of formal diagnosis or specialist funding. There are guidance documents for both Early Years settings and Primary Schools, as well as a “good practice guide” for all education settings (from Early Years right up to post-16).
It is time to review and update the guidance so your input would be really helpful. Please click the button below to answer the survey.
We welcome responses from parents and carers, school leaders, health professionals, and other practitioners who support children’s access to education.
The survey will close on the 20th of October 2025.
Thank you for your time.
