Late last year, Manchester City Council invited the forum to join the steering group for a programme that was being developed by Digital Advantage, an “award winning CIC that delivers innovative work experiences to young people of all ages and abilities.” The programme was to offer digital work placements for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in 8 specialist high schools across the city.

Digital Inc., which provides digital industry training to young people with SEND is set to complete the first of its two-year programme with a Graduation and Celebration Event on Tuesday, the 16th of July.

The event will celebrate the hard work and business ideas that SEND students from all across Manchester have come up with during their training. It will also launch the second phase of the programme, where ten to fifteen 16 to 18 year olds with SEND will experience supported internship with an opportunity to interview for further employment.

We are pleased to announce that Digital Advantage has kindly offered a small number of seats for forum members. If you would like to join this Graduation and Celebration Event, please contact us ASAP to book your place.
