New specialist service opening in Wythenshawe

Do you want to be part of an exciting new and innovative support service for children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism across Manchester?

Developed in partnership with the Manchester City Council, Manchester Intensive Support Team (IST) and Manchester Parent Carer Forum (MPCF), the new Together Trust home will provide intensive, therapeutic overnight stays and outreach support for children, young people, and families.

This is a ground-breaking early intervention service that works towards sustainable change. Our goal is for the children and young people we support to experience greater permanency of care with their families, foster care, or benefit from the range of services available to them in their community.

Can you work as part of a team or independently, maintaining and encouraging open and honest lines of communication? Can you undertake a full range of tasks in a well-planned way that respects and values children and their families?

We are looking to recruit people who have a ­positive and enthusiastic approach, are friendly, and are great communicators. All staff employed within the service will have the opportunity to receive formal Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training and coaching from qualified behavioural specialists.

Community Support Worker (Positive Behaviour Support) – £21,283

Based on a 37.5-hour week, working 5 days out of 7 with full flexibility across days/evenings, weekends will be paid at +25% of the hourly rate.

Senior Community Support Worker (Positive Behaviour Support) – £25,546

Based on a 37.5-hour week, working 5 days out of 7 with full flexibility across days/evenings, weekends will be paid at +25% of the hourly rate.

Applicants for the senior position need to hold NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Workforce, or equivalent QCF, have experience in coaching and support staff as well as come from a background of working with children.
