Rahima, a young person with SEND in Manchester, has recently been interviewed by BBC for radio segments promoting The Big Day In.

The interview, which was broadcasted on the “Breakfast with Harpz Kaur” show on the BBC Asian Network this morning, can also be heard on the following programmes this afternoon:

  • The Nixtape! (3-5:45pm)

Grimmy’s here with nothing but bangers in the Nixtape at 5!

  • Craig Charles (4-7pm)

Craig’s uniting us all with today’s listener chosen Club Together track and three hours of bangers to help you boogie through the afternoon. Plus of course, more tunes to shout out to our Key Workers.

  • The Big Day In with Sara Cox (5-7:55pm)

Sara Cox continues Radio 2’s Big Day In ahead of The Big Night In on BBC One. Emma Freud features in today’s First and Last feature, a key worker will play our 5.40 feature Letter Getter, and there will be a very special SARA award, as we support BBC Children In Need and Comic Relief, and all of the key workers around the country.

In it, Rahima speaks about how Venture Arts, a BBC Children in Need-supported charity, has helped her and boosted her confidence. She also mentions that her art work has been displayed in The Lowry, among other things.

Her very proud mum, Nasreen, told us that Rahima is also doing video diaries for Children in Need, which will later go on Twitter and Facebook for their fundraising efforts.

Well done, Rahima! <3
