In July of last year, we blogged about the new “autism pathway” that was scheduled to be piloted in South Manchester later in the year.

The project has since been launched and the “autism steering group” would like to invite parents to attend a meeting where they will present some feedback about this new assessment pathway. Please see the message below from Dr Jo Bromley of the Clinical Service for Children with Disabilities:

Dear Parents and Carers

This time last year, with your help, we co-produced a new pathway for assessing Autism in Manchester. Commissioners agreed to fund a pilot project for two years to see if the new pathway could work. We started recruiting to the new pathway in South Manchester in September 2018 and have been fully staffed since January. We are due to present some feedback on our new way of working on May 9th at Grange School in Gorton at 1pm. If anyone is interested in attending please contact me on the number below to let me know. If you can’t come to this meeting but are interested in attending future meetings around assessment please get in touch.

Best wishes

Jo Bromley
