As part of the Our Year campaign, Manchester City Council, in partnership with Blachere Illumination, are running a competition for children and young people to design a new Christmas motif. The competition offers a fantastic creative art project capturing the imagination of Manchester’s children and young people, while adding a new dimension to our city’s popular festive lighting as we work towards Manchester becoming a child-friendly city.
The winners will have their drawings transformed into an illuminated motif that will be displayed as part of the festive programme on Cathedral Walk in the City Centre later this year.
There will be a winner from each of the following categories:
- Under 5’s
- Primary
- Secondary
- Post-16 (up to 25)
To enter, the form will need to be printed off, the design drawn on to the form, then submitted through either of the following methods:
- Scan the completed form then email the file to l.goodfellow@blachere-illumination.co.uk
- Send the completed form by post to Blachere Illumination UK Ltd, Gladstone Place, Ladybank, Cupar, KY15 7LB
The deadline to submit entries is Monday, the 13th of June.
