2022 Our Year is a celebration of Manchester’s children and young people (CYP) with a whole-city approach to building a future that’s safe, happy, healthy and successful.

Throughout 2022, Our Year will focus on listening to young people and bringing key partners together to create more experiences, opportunities and support to ensure children and young people are at the heart of all that we do in Manchester. This is a chance for everyone who shares this vision across the city – from large businesses to community groups or passionate individuals – to play their part and make a difference.

The forum certainly shares this vision, particularly in ensuring a safe, happy, healthy and successful future for CYP with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) in Manchester. We have been and will continue working with our local partners in the city council, Education, Health, Social Care, the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS), businesses, and individuals to ensure that Manchester provides the best possible outcomes for children and young people with SEND – this year and beyond!
